It was in April 2021 when the 3rd and 4rth seasons of the series were renewed. The story of the first two seasons followed the order of the book series. However, this is not the case with the 3rd season.
If reports are to be believed, the plot of season 3 will be inspired by Julia Quinn’s 4th novel named Romancing Mister Bridgerton. The story will focus on the love life of Colin. For the 3rd and 4th seasons, Jess Brownell will serve as writer, replacing Van Dusen.
Every season of Bridgerton narrates the story of the love and romance life of different members of the Bridgerton family. Just like the previous two seasons, even season 3 will focus on the love story and romance of Colin Bridgerton and Lady Penelope Featherington.
In April 2022, it was confirmed that Bailey and Ashley would make a comeback with season 3 as Viscount and Viscountess Bridgerton. As heads of the family, they will be seen examining their married relationship and other responsibilities.
There is even news of Hannah Dodd playing the role of Francesca Bridgerton and replacing Ruby Stokes for the third season. It was reported that due to some conflicts, Ruby left the series. Also, Chandran will not be playing the role of Edwina for the season.
It was in July 2022, when new cast members, including Daniel Francis, Sam Phillips, and James Phoon were signed for the third season.
Later, Hannah New became part of the season as Lady Tilley Arnold.
And in January 2023, Dynevor mentioned that she will not be part of the third season, however, she will make a comeback in the future.
Talking about the filming, the principal photography of the 3rd season started in July 2022 and was completed in March 2023.
Netflix has not yet announced the release date for the most awaited Bridgerton season 3. However, as per some sources, the series is expected to be released at the end of 2023 or maybe during the Fall or Winter season.
It won’t be surprising even if the series will be released on Christmas.
