DIY Tips to fix iPhone 12 Networking Issues

The Apple iPhone 12 is clearly one of the best smartphones you can have. It boasts of excellent performance as well as top-grade security and privacy. Not to mention, the iPhone 12 is extremely well put together, as is the case with almost all Apple products till date.

However, while the iPhone 12 ranks right there at the top when it comes to flagship-grade smartphone devices, there are a few issues that can and does bog down its performance at times. However, those again aren’t anything too serious so that I don’t have to go searching for the nearest iPhone Service Center Near Me every once in a while.

Mentioned here are a few effective fixes that anyone can implement to deal with the connectivity issues likely to be faced on the iPhone 12.

Network issues (4G/5G)

One of the biggest claim-to-fame of the new iPhone 12 series is its ability to connect to 5G networks. What is also unprecedented is that Apple chose to offer 5G connectivity on all four iPhone 12 models. While that is great, the ground reality is that many reported facing issues with 4G or 5G connectivity. Specifically, those affected said their iPhone 12 handsets will suddenly lose data connection, something that applies to both 4G and 5G connections.

Worse still, the affected handsets do not get connected to the network automatically again. This has largely been found to happen when the user is on the move and the device is having to switch between available towers. Also, the issue has been found to crop up irrespective of whether the user is on 4G or 5G networks. It’s not known for sure what could be causing the problem through a possible solution to this will be to toggle the airplane mode to on and off and then make the iPhone 12 connect to the data network.

Wi-Fi issues

Apple iPhones seem to have a long-standing relationship with Wi-Fi issues. Those aren’t anything too serious though and don’t make me scamper for the nearest iPhone Service Center Near Me. Most of those can be fixed with DIY solutions that are simple and easy. However, the solutions mentioned here assumes everything is right with the external router, its firmware as well as all associated wirings. Read on to find out more.

  • Force restart

This happens to be the universal solution to many hardware or software problems. For the iPhone 12, here is what you do.

Press the Volume Up button, then the Volume Down button, and then the Side-Power button in quick succession. Hold on to the Power button until the Apple logo appears.

  • Forget Wi-Fi network and join again

This is akin to making a fresh connection to the existing Wi-Fi network. Also, you will have to enter the login credentials all over again. Here is what you need to do.

  1. Go to Settings > Wi-Fi and tap on the Wi-Fi network that applies to your iPhone 12 device.
  2. There is going to be a confirmatory message shown where you will be asked if you indeed want to forget the Wi-Fi network.
  3. Tap on Forget.
  4. To re-join again, go to Settings > Wi-Fi.
  5. Select the network you wish to join and enter the password when prompted.
  6. Connect and see if this helps.

Reset Network Settings

This happens to be one of the most fail-safe methods to deal with network-related issues as it clears the DHCP settings. Besides, it flushes cache data along with other network-related info.

  1. To reset, go to Settings > General > Reset and tap on the Reset Network Settings option.
  2. Disable Wi-Fi Networking Services
  3. Many users said they got rid of their Wi-Fi issues by disabling the Wi-Fi Networking Services.
  4. Go to Settings > Privacy > Location Services > System Services and select Wi-Fi Networking.

Bluetooth issues

Many iPhone 12 owners said they have faced Bluetooth issues right from the start. The problem is, the iPhone 12 is unable to detect any other Bluetooth device in its vicinity even if the device is in pairing mode. Similarly, other Bluetooth devices have been unable to pick up the iPhone 12 as well.

As of now, the only way this can be mitigated is by restarting the iPhone 12 and try establishing the Bluetooth connection all over again. Merely toggling the Bluetooth switch on and off won’t help. Updating to the latest iOS version helps too. For that, go to Settings > General > Software Update. Down and install the latest software version available.

So, that is pretty much all that can be done to deal with networking issues faced on the iPhone 12. While these should save me from searching for the nearest iPhone Service Center Near Me, getting expert help is always recommended if the issues persist.
