Freedom 251 was launched by Ringing Bells Private Limited in India at promotional price of Rs 251. It was announced that the one’s interested in phone have to register between 18th and 21st of February. The traffic was so high that the website crashed very first day.

When Phone was announced in February around 40,000 people paid in advance for the phone and around 7.5 crore people registered for the phone. The registration was almost equal to total sales of Apple and Samsung in the entire year. Company also claim that government is not helping them to meet their target of distributing 2 lakh phones. Company claims that company have all the ability to meet the target all alone but needs some time.
Company while announcing the distribution date also unveiled that they will soon launch four new phone with price set to Rs 99, Rs 999, Rs 3,999 and Rs 4,499. Looking forward for these new phones.
