Blue Ivy Carter Rocks Jimmy Choo Cinderella Heels at Her Met Gala Debut

The 2026 Met Gala was full of spectacular moments, but one of the night’s most talked-about arrivals didn’t come from a big figure. But it was a 14-year-old girl who was walking the red carpet for the first time ever. Blue Ivy Carter appeared for the first time on the famed steps at the 2026 Met Gala at The Metropolitan Museum of Art on Monday. She was with her mother, Beyoncé Knowles-Carter, and father, Jay-Z.

A Fairy-Tale Entrance

The girl, 14, was wearing a white di Pesta bubble dress and jacket, both handmade. She was also wearing Jimmy Choo’s Alia shoes, which are inspired by Cinderella and have a 3.3-inch heel. Many on the internet adored the appearance. It was like something out of a fairy tale.

The pumps are constructed of crystals and cost $4,900. Beautiful gems are all over the shoe. It’s got a lovely spike heel and a traditional pointed toe. The vamp is hand-embroidered with a diamond cluster.

Many thought the Jimmy Choo Alia shoes with the crystals on them looked like something out of a Disney movie. They were the perfect pick for a girl on her way to one of the world’s most prominent fashion events.

Coordinated Glamour with Mom Beyoncé

This was no random outfit that Blue Ivy just happened to choose. This was all part of a family fashion event. She looked even better in a short fur jacket and sunglasses to match. She had exquisite Jimmy Choo shoes of quartz and diamonds, and the front of her dress had a bubble skirt that went up to show them off

Beyoncé’s mom looked gorgeous in a jewel-encrusted Olivier Rousteing outfit. Venus Williams and Anna Wintour are co-chairing the Met Gala with Nicole Kidman. It was her first time at the event in 10 years. The singer was in a jewelled garment that made her neck, back, hands, and hips seem like bones. And her grey ombré feather cloak hung down behind her for several feet. She had to have a bunch of people to help her up and down the stairs.”

Her shoes were pretty flashy too. The heel was 150 mm, and the toe was highly pointed. There was a little ankle strap. To support the six-inch heel, the front of the shoe featured a hefty bottom.

A Historic Night for the Carter Family

It was 2026, the first time Jay-Z had ever come to the Met Gala. The Brooklyn rapper was dressed in clothing manufactured to order for him by Louis Vuitton. The trousers matched the tailcoat in color; it was black wool with a peak collar. He also donned a white cotton poplin shirt, a white floral pin, and black patent leather LV Premiere Oxfords.

One rumor indicates that the Met Gala only permits those 18 and older in. Which makes it all the more historically significant. Clearly, the Met didn’t mind taking the journey, for Beyoncé’s daughter, Blue Ivy was a huge event.

The Bigger Picture: Fashion as Art

The 2026 Met Gala’s theme was “Costume Art” and celebrated fashion as art, and the dress code was “Fashion Is Art.” The event included four co-chairs: Beyoncé Knowles-Carter, Nicole Kidman, Venus Williams, and Anna Wintour. Jeff Bezos and his wife, Lauren Sánchez Bezos, were guests of honor. The concept matched perfectly with Blue Ivy’s Cinderella-like clothing, which proves that even at the age of 14, she knows how to utilize fashion to convey a tale.

Whether she’s singing alongside her Grammy-winning mom onstage, or setting the tone at the Met Gala in $4,900 crystal shoes, Blue Ivy Carter is well on her way to becoming her own style star.
