How I lost 6 KG weight in a Month

People often get bewildered when they see me now. They seem to not believe my weight loss journey, considering my eating habits, as I did not follow a crash diet. Yet, managed to lose so much weight.

Sharing my journey of how I lost 6 KG in a month, with so many has led me to write an article about my journey, so it may help all those in need of guidance.

I used to play football in my college time. My body was in perfect shape until I started my job. During my job, I turned into a lazy boy who doesn’t want to go outside for a workout. Eventually, my belly fat started increasing. Once a beautiful cool morning, I was looking into the mirror wearing my shirt. Suddenly, I witnessed my belly is getting out of control. I checked my weight and I found 8 KG increase in my weight.

Being a sportsman, I motivate myself. I watch some YouTube videos, install a 30 days workout challenge app on my mobile, and started my workout. What happened next? Keep reading…..

Are you tired of all the extra pounds you are carrying? Or do you feel stuck in the vicious cycle of losing weight and then gaining it back? If you face any weight-related issues then you’re not alone as obesity is on the rise globally.

America despite having a lot of resources to combat an epidemic, has failed to lessen its obesity rates. One of the main reasons the US has failed to do so is; obesity and weight gain cannot be cured by a single formula. Everybody has their own needs and has a different mechanism that may work for them.

You need not worry about any of your weight-related queries. Despite the absence of one universal formula, there still is a general mechanism that the human body follows.

If you understand your own body and needs, it may help you cater to any of your body’s nutritional needs and good nutrition provides benefits that stretch far and beyond just weight loss.

Understanding the basics of how our body works are the basis of how I lost 6 kg in a month. These are not guidelines for you to design a diet plan, which can be done by nutritionists, but tips and tricks that helped me lose 6kgs in a month.

Understanding your needs

Every human is unique and has personal needs. Working towards good health should always start with understanding your own health. Every person has different caloric and nutritional needs, depending upon their physiology and lifestyle.

Calculating your own requirements and designing a diet plan accordingly is the key to healthy weight loss. A generic diet plan not working well for you, shouldn’t worry you at all.

As a number of diet plans available on the internet might not suit your body. It is always wise to tailor a diet according to one’s own needs.

Setting an achievable goal

Before you start to evolve your lifestyle, it is important to set a goal. It is always wise to set an achievable goal. Not everybody has the same body type, therefore, not everybody can lose the same amount of weight in a certain time.

Similarly, not everybody has to lose 6 kgs in a month, some need to lose more weight and some just need to maintain a healthy weight.

Considering one’s own metabolism and the lifestyle it is vital to set an achievable goal and strive towards the goal in a set time.

Transitioning smoothly

Living in the world of fast food and pizza, we are used to eating junk food. Shifting from burgers to salads in just one day is impossible for many. Therefore, it is important to go for smooth and not so drastic transitions.

Our body needs time to get used to the newly introduced changes. It is good to give your body some time to accept the new fuel being introduced to it.

Drastic changes from junk food to high fiber meals might upset your body and you may get sick. Getting sick in the early days of your diet might demotivate you and you may get back to the older unhealthy ways.

Detoxify regularly

Cleansing your body often is one of the steps toward good health. Fueling our body with absolute junk for years has shown its effects in the form of gained weight and deteriorated health.

Now is the time to counteract against your own past self and cleanse your body of all the stored toxins. Regular detox meals or drinks can help cleanse your gut. Cleansed gut regulates bowel movements.

A regulated bowel will prevent you from ill implications like constipation, flatulence, and diarrhea. Combating all such bowel issues can help you fasten your weight loss process.

Work out is a must

The global rise in obesity owes a lot to our sedentary lifestyle and lack of exercise. Working out is often related to bodybuilding and sports, but it is vital for all healthy human beings.

Weight loss or not, exercise should be an essential part of your daily routine. Keeping your body in motion not only regulates the metabolism but has benefits far and beyond that. Exercise is essential not only to lose weight but to maintain it too.

As stated by the 70/30 rule, 30% of your weight loss is determined by the exercise you do, and 70% by the diet you take. Workout not only helps to fasten the metabolism, which is the key to quick weight loss.

It helps in burning all the extra calories you might have taken through your diet. I exercised vigorously for 45 minutes daily, but everyone should work out according to their health conditions and stamina.

Plan your meals ahead

Not planning a proper meal prior to the mealtime often makes you eat more. Planning your whole meal along with ingredients and recipes will help you keep in check the quality and quantity of your food.

Making a plan with calorie counted meals will help you stick to your diet. In my case, planning my meals ahead of time made me look forward to the food I was about to be served, made me excited for the next meal and helped me stick to my plan.

Do not skip meals

Losing weight is often associated with long periods of starvation and cutting out all food groups. Recent researches show that skipping meal, especially breakfast can hinder the healthy weight loss process.

Although, one way to reduce weight fast is intermittent fasting but that is not synonymous to skipping meals randomly. Skipping meals randomly can alter your planned caloric and nutrient intake which may affect your body for the worst. Throughout my weight loss journey, I never skipped a meal included in my plan, this kept me sane and active throughout.

Persistence is the key

Your weight loss journey and process can be different from mine, but one thing that promises the best results for all is persistence. Keep going on until you reach your goal.

You may face many highs and lows. There will be times when your weight will be plateaued, but giving up in such times will rewind all your progress. Staying persistent and celebrating little achievements throughout your journey will help you stick to your plan and achieve your goal.

The final results

The moment, which will pay off all your hard work will be the one in which you will achieve your final goal. All the self-control you portrayed throughout, will be well paid off.

The final result will not only be reduced weight but also a fitter body and a healthier mind. The numbers on your weighing scale, loosened jeans and random compliments will all pay for the hard work and persistence you put into your journey.

Soon, you’ll forget the struggles you faced but the results will be long remembered. This initial step towards a healthier lifestyle will affect your health for the rest of your life and is worth giving a try. When I started my journey of weight loss, one of my office colleagues asks me to consult a nutritionist for a proper diet plan. I did consult with a doctor. If you don’t have enough time, you can take online consultation

Even you can watch YouTube videos to get the proper diet routine for weight loss.

Your body needs your attention. Take some time and ask to make a plan for a workout. Your 20 minutes of workout will save you millions of minutes in the future.
