Venkatesh Iyer‘s century was a sight to behold. He played with great skill and precision, hitting the ball to all parts of the ground. He was particularly harsh on the MI bowlers, who had no answer to his attacking stroke play. Venkatesh’s century is the fastest by an uncapped Indian player in IPL history and was a testament to his talent and potential.

MI’s Clinical Display
MI’s batting display was clinical and efficient. They never let the required run rate get out of hand and kept the scoreboard ticking over. Their batting was a testament to their experience and skill, and they deservedly won the match. MI’s disciplined bowling was also a key factor in their victory. They kept the KKR batsmen in check and never let them get away.
Man of the Match
The Player of the Match title went to Venkatesh Iyer, who scored a maiden T20 century and propelled the visitors to 185/6 in 20 overs. Iyer’s 104 (51) with the help of six fours and nine sixes at a strike rate of 203.92 saw him become only the second player from Kolkata to score a century. Despite his impressive performance, Iyer couldn’t save his team from defeat.

Arjun Tendulkar, son of legendary cricketer Sachin Tendulkar, made his debut in the IPL. Arjun, a left-arm pacer, didn’t embarrass himself in his initiation in the IPL, for the team that his father had graced for a long time. He almost took a wicket in his first over, and although he gave away a few runs, he proved to be a valuable asset for the team.

MI’s batting display and their key middle-order batter Suryakumar Yadav’s innings were the highlights of the match. Despite Iyer’s record-breaking century, KKR were unable to defend their total and succumbed to their ninth defeat against MI at the Wankhede Stadium.
Despite Venkatesh Iyer’s magnificent century, KKR was unable to take their team to victory. MI’s disciplined bowling and clinical batting display proved to be too much for KKR to handle.
This was MI’s second successive win after losing their first two matches, and it will give them a much-needed boost going forward in the tournament. It was an entertaining match, and both teams played with great skill and determination.
