The rapper NLE Choppa is 20 years old and has a 5 million dollar fortune. NLE Choppa became well-known in 2019 thanks to his song “Shotta Flow.” He then released the EP “Cottonwood” before his first studio album, “Top Shotta,” was released in the summer of 2020. Childhood and Education
NLE Choppa, real name Bryson Lashun Potts, was born on November 1, 2002, in Memphis, Tennessee, to a Jamaican mother and an African-American father. He went to Cordova High School and grew up in the Parkway Village neighborhood in southeast Memphis. Potts participated in basketball in school.

Early in 2018, Potts, who goes by the stage name YNR Choppa, released “No Love Anthem,” his debut song. He attended Cordova High School and was raised in southeast Memphis’ Parkway Village neighbourhood. Potts participated in basketball in school. He started freestyling with his mates at this point.
Soon after he started a rap career, his mother Angela took over as his manager. He released his first mixtape that summer, titled “No Love the Takeover.” As the year came to a close, Choppa generated interest online thanks to his participation in the song and music video “No Chorus Pt. 3.”
The rapper, now going as NLE Choppa, made his first big splash in the music industry in early 2019 with his track “Shotta Flow.” It debuted on the Billboard Hot 100 at position 96 in May and reached its highest position at position 36. In June, the official remix with Blueface was made available. A music video also received 10 million views in a single month.
Over the years, NLE Choppa would release a series of “Shotta Flow” sequels. In addition to “Free YoungBoy,” he also released “Capo,” “Birdboy,” “Blocc is Hot,” and “Birdboy” in 2019. The last of these was the first single to be published under his own label, No Love Entertainment. NLE Choppa released his debut EP, “Cottonwood,” named for the neighbourhood at the end of the year.
NLE Choppa’s first studio album, “Top Shotta,” was finally published in the summer of 2020 after various delays. Six songs, including the top 40 successes “Camelot” and “Walk Em Down,” the latter of which featured Roddy Ricch, were released before it. “Narrow Road,” a track that featured Lil Baby, was one of the other hits. It debuted at number 10 on the Billboard 200 and later received a Gold certification from the RIAA. “Top Shotta” was a significant commercial success.
Additional albums and mixtapes
On his birthday in 2020, NLE Choppa dropped the mixtape “From Dark to Light.” He intentionally centered the album on affirmations and spiritual topics because he had previously committed to cease rapping about violence. The mixtape’s cover art, which shows NLE Choppa meditating in a field surrounded by butterflies and a rainbow in the distance, mirrored these new topics.
Early in 2022, “Me vs. Me,” his subsequent mixtape, was released. It has 16 songs and includes cameos from Polo G, Young Thug, G Herbo, and Moneybagg Yo. Two of the songs are sequels: “Walk Em Down 2” and “Shotta Flow 6.” “Me vs. Me” by NLE Choppa, another strong smash, peaked at number 14 on the Billboard 200. In April 2023, the rapper released “Cottonwood 2,” his second studio album.
The album launched on the Billboard 200 at number 21, with guest appearances from Lil Wayne, Kevin Gates, Polo G, and Rick Ross among others. “Slut Me Out,” the album’s lead track, peaked at number four on the Hot Rap Songs list.
NLE Choppa has worked with several different musicians and has been featured on many songs. He worked with Polo G and Stunna 4 Vegas in 2020 on the song “Go Stupid” from Polo G’s album “The Goat.” NLE Choppa has also appeared on songs by Rubi Rose, Blueface, 50 Cent, Kai Cenat, DDG, and Polo G. These songs include “Hit Yo Dance,” “Holy Moly,” “Part of the Game,” and “Unapologetic.”

NLE Choppa maintains a YouTube social media presence outside of his rap career with his channels “Awakened Choppa” and “The Rise of NLE Choppa.” The former details the new, healthier way of living he started living in 2020, including his veganism and his interest in gardening.
NLE Choppa Personal life
In 2020, Choppa gave birth to a girl, his first child. His partner Marissa Da’Nae miscarried their son over two years later. NLE Choppa has encountered the law on a few occasions. He was detained in March 2021 on burglary, drug, and weapon accusations. In May of that same year, he got into a fight in Santa Monica, California. Remember that NLE Choppa age at that time was only 18 years.
