Punjab Kings Crush SRH In The Last League Match Of IPL 2022

Punjab Kings, led by Mayank Agarwal, defeated Sunrisers Hyderabad by 5 wickets in the 70th match of the TATA IPL 2022. Sunrisers Hyderabad got off to a shaky start, losing opener Priyam Garg for only four runs on his seventh delivery, but Sunrisers Hyderabad’s Abhishek Sharma tried to set a solid chasing score for Punjab Kings, scoring 43 runs off 32 balls with five fours and two sixes. But, on the third delivery of the 10th Over by Harpreet Brar, Abhishek Sharma hit the ball and that was caught by Livingstone, which proved to be the turning point for Sunrisers Hyderabad.

Livingstone’s catch changed the game for Punjab Kings, as Abhishek Sharma was ready to smash 50 and set a hefty chase for Punjab Kings, which may put Punjab Kings in trouble. Despite his inability to grab a wicket, this catch by Livingstone was crucial for Punjab Kings.

After the loss of Abhishek Sharma, Sunrisers Hyderabad kept losing wickets one after another and could only score 157 runs in 20 overs.

Punjab Kings tried to get off to a good start in the second inning, but openers Jonny Bairstow and Shikhar Dhawan were both knocked out after scoring 23 and 39 runs, respectively, by Fazalhaq Farooqi. After Sunrisers Hyderabad sent back the openers, Punjab quickly lost the next two wickets of Shahrukh Khan and Captain Mayank Agarwal, displeasing spectators.

Livingstone stepped on the field after Captain Mayank Agarwal was dismissed and immediately changed the game with his stunning hits, scoring unbeatable 49 runs in just 22 balls with two fours and five huge sixes.

Livingstone stayed on the field to the end, chasing down Sunrisers Hyderabad’s target in just 15 overs and 1 ball. Punjab Kings defeated Sunrisers Hyderabad by 5 wickets in the last TATA IPL league match.

After the tough fight in league matches of IPL, only four teams Gujarat Titans, Rajasthan Royals, Lucknow Super Giants, and Royal Challengers Bangalore qualify for the Playoffs this year and they will fight in the Playoffs now for the title of TATA IPL 2022.
