Varanasi or Benaras or Kashi

Varanasi, or Benaras or Kashi is the oldest living city in the world. It is one of the seven sacred places in India to Hindus, who worship Lord Shiva here. This city has been associated with many legends and myths including one about a demon king named Ravana who was defeated by Lord Rama. The ghats or steps that run along the Ganges River are another major attraction for tourists visiting Varanasi and they can be seen from most vantage points around this city.

The other name for this place is Benaras which means “the holy city” because it was once considered to be such by outsiders but today we know better!

The Great Himalayas

The Himalayas are the world’s highest mountain range and also one of India’s most popular tourist destinations. The mountains cover a large portion of northern India, including parts of Nepal, Bhutan, and Tibet. They form part of the larger Himalayan mountain system that stretches from South Asia to Central Asia and Southeast Asia.

The Himalayan mountain range is home to many important rivers such as the Indus River (which flows through Pakistan) and the Sutlej River (which flows through Himachal Pradesh). These rivers provide water resources for many Asian countries including China, Japan, and Korea

Ajanta Caves in Aurangabad, Maharashtra

The Ajanta Caves are a group of 29 caves carved. The caves were built between the 2nd century BC and the 6th century AD by Buddhist monks who lived here. The paintings and sculptures within these caves are masterpieces that have been preserved for centuries due to the humid climate in India, which helped them survive many invasions by Muslims.

Ajanta Alora caves are one of the best places in India during the Maharastra tour, which is often preferred by tourists.

The caves have several stories about their creation – some say it was done by one person while others say it was done by an entire community; however, there is no proof for either theory so we don’t know who actually did this work!

If you’re visiting during the monsoon season (June–September), there will be lots more water than usual as well as increased crowds due to holidays like Christmas Day.
