Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) claimed their first victory in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023 season with a dominant eight-wicket win over Punjab Kings (PBKS) on Sunday. Dhawan has now scored 6,469 runs in the IPL at an average of 36.13. He missed out on a third IPL ton by just one run. Dhawan and Mohit Rathee also shared the highest 10th wicket stand in the IPL and joint-fifth highest in men’s T20.
Markande Shines on Debut
Mayank Markande was the standout performer for SRH on his IPL debut. The leg-spinner claimed four wickets for just 15 runs and ran through the PBKS batting order.

This was Markande’s second four-fer in the IPL, having claimed his first for Mumbai Indians against SRH in 2018. Markande now has 21 wickets in 21 IPL appearances at an average of 25.00.
