Jos Buttler was the driving force for Rajasthan Royals once again, scoring an unbeaten 70 off 47 balls to help them reach 169/3 in 20 overs. Buttler struggled to score for much of the innings but teed off in the final two overs to help RR get close to 170 on what appeared to be a slow pitch. Meanwhile, Shimron Hetmyer finished the innings with a run and finished with a score of 42 off 31 balls. For the fourth wicket, the pair scored an unbeaten 83 off 51 balls. Buttler was dropped twice and ended up playing the entire game.

Faf du Plessis and Anuj Rawat got the RCB off to a good start, but they were undone by losing four wickets in two overs. Dinesh Karthik then came in and grabbed the chase by the scruff of the neck. Karthik and Shabaz Ahmed, who joined his senior partner in sending the RR bowlers to all corners of the park, put on 67 runs off 33 balls for the sixth wicket. The duo took the game away from them, and RCB eventually crossed the line with five balls in hand.

Here’s What RR Skipper said after the after.

“I can’t point out one moment where we lost the game. I thought it was a great effort to put up that total on such a slow wicket after losing the toss. Jos and Hetmyer batted brilliantly at the death. Taking the match to the last over with the dew coming in was a great effort as well. (On whether he asked the umpires to change the ball because of dew) No, I didn’t, I was confident about my bowlers. DK is someone with a lot of experience. We just need to take our time to set the field. Lots of positives to take out of this loss, and we can learn a lot of things as well. “
