King Virat Kohli Powered RCB To A Frisky Victory Over GT

Virat Kohli is back in his enormous form, which hasn’t been seen in a long time. The Royal Challengers Bangalore are still in the tournament after defeating the tabletop Gujarat Titans by 8 wickets at Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai on May 19, 2022. Virat Kohli had a surprise performance in this match; with this inning against Gujarat Titans, he became the only player who scored 7000 runs in RCB. Virat Kohli expressed his disappointment, stating that he had not contributed much to his team in prior matches.

Royal Challengers Bangalore got off to a flying start in the second inning, with openers Virat Kohli and Faf du Plessis, Virat Kohli scoring 73 runs off 54 balls with eight fours and two sixes, and Faf du Plessis scoring 44 runs off 38 balls with five fours. Faf du Plessis also struck out Gujarat Titans‘ most dangerous hitter, Wriddhiman Saha, in the first inning, which had a significant impact on the game.

When Gujarat Titans’ Rashid Khan knocked out Virat Kohli and Faf du Plessis, fans were outraged, but Glenn Maxwell ensured the match was completed and the team remained in the IPL.

Glenn Maxwell was about to lose his wicket on his first ball, but the bails didn’t fall and he was declared not out, which completely changed the game. Maxwell then went on to hit an unbeatable 40 runs off 18 balls, including five fours and two sixes, to help Royal Challengers Bangalore win the match.

Gujarat Titans’ openers, Wriddhiman Saha and Shubman Gill had been in excellent form in previous matches but failed to score for their team in this match. This loss did not affect Gujarat Titans, as they have qualified for the Playoffs with 20 points, but this was a must-win match for Royal Challengers Bangalore as it keeps them in the IPL.
